I booked this hostel while thinking I wouldn’t have anywhere to stay this night, but leading up to it, a few more options arose. Unfortunately I had already paid for my bed.
Max Hostel Bonn was definitely my least favorite hostel I’ve stayed at thus far. The “pillows” had hardly any stuffing in them, I had to pay extra to use the bad internet, the lock on the door didn’t work, and the saddest part was that no one talked to other people in the dorm or common rooms. Hostels in Iceland were cheery and fun places to hang out, where as this one was just full of people staring at computer screens.
It was clean, and not necessarily unsafe, but it definitely wasn’t a place I would stay again.
