Hi! I’m Clara, your Travel Engineer! I started Where She Went because many of the most meaningful experiences in my life have occurred during travel, and I wanted to help others find their own opportunities for adventure and growth.
I grew up in New Hampshire, USA and, after a childhood spent hosting German exchange students, decided to spend a year in Germany myself in between high school and college. During my gap year, I caught the travel bug, and I’ve been on the move (or planning my next trip) ever since!
As I’ve grown as a traveler, writer, and person, this space has shifted its perspective with me. Today, Where She Went is a place to share stories, advice, and dreams for all sorts of travel. Meaningful engagement with diverse cultures, communities, and landscapes should be more accessible, and today I am striving to do that through storytelling and passing on bits of advice that may help you pack your bag, start your engine, and get out into the world…
