Where She Slept – Casablanca, Morocco

I spent too much time in this bed. It was just one of those things I couldn’t control though. I had a nice bout of “tourista” aka the inevitable stomach bug that newbies to Morocco get. I don’t know if it was the food or the water or the air, but something got to me my first day here and has followed me around since then. I was lucky enough to be taken care of by my dear friends though. And I owe them big time for putting up with my rather unpredictable stomach.
My time in Casablanca was good all the same. It’s a very special place and it was only made better by the people I spent the time with. Friends are truly wonderful people.

It struck me that I only have a few more beds ahead of me before I head home, a rather daunting and sad thought. Will my bed at home feel different? Quiet? Less exciting? Maybe I will appreciate its comfort a bit more after all of these hostel beds.

But I can’t avoid it. My bed at home is getting closer and closer.
