Where She Slept – Home

This is my bed. I was going to make it and everything for the picture, but seeing as I very rarely tuck my blanket in around the edges and smooth it down, I thought this was a more accurate representation.

It’s a new bed. A hand-me-down that I have really been enjoying, though it has not been here for long. But it belongs to this space now. A space that is unique to me. With my postcards and posters and pictures decorating the wall and my glasses on the bedside table. It’s my space.

When I leave, I will be in spaces that don’t belong to me. I am just borrowing that space. That space where I slept. Let this series of stories and vignettes be a small peek through the keyhole of other people’s spaces and what happens when I borrow them.
